What is a Mushroom Pod?
The Mushroom Pod comprises a series of modular structures that, when configured together, offer a complete growing system.

The sizes of the modules can be varied to cater for individuals or a small group - or increased to provide a larger-sized Community Pod.
Typical areas are 45m2 (9m x 5m) for a Local Pod or 81m2 (9m x 9m) for a Community Pod.

The pods are interchangeable to suit a specific space or location or to provide a desired output.
The growing process
Each section of the pod's unique design supports a single growing phase to ensure a continuous production system and regular supply of fresh produce.

The complete growing cycle is between 6 - 8 weeks as there are usually second and, potentially, third fruiting flushes.

Each week a new batch of inoculated substrate enters the growing system and flows through like a production conveyor. Wheeled racking is employed to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of product through the process phases.

The environment needs to be right for each growing phase so the system delivers, monitors and varies factors such as light, air purity, humidity and temperature. This is a key benefit of the pod's unique design.
